Non-Profit Community Impact Intern (Fall 2022)

Kids in the Game sport and enrichment-based programs can be found in schools and communities across New York City, serving thousands of children every year. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a highly organized, energetic, and collaborative person to support the work of our Community & Impact team. This role reports directly to the Director of Community & Impact and provides daily administrative and analytical assistance for our programs.

As an intern, you’ll help to manage communications with our program managers and site coordinators within the Kids in the Game team. This position will require a love for creating an impact with the youth of NYC and passion for learning how school and sports programs run internally. This position requires someone who is incredibly organized and who is a world class communicator.
 
This is an in-person position based in New York City. As a piece of the role, the Community Impact Intern might be asked to develop and distribute surveys, connect with and travel to the team across our NYC programs, aid in data analysis for internal and external stakeholders, and support the overall functioning of our Community & Impact team. This internship would require a commitment of 25-35 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship.

The key functions of your role will include: 
  • Work within the Community and Impact department to develop surveys based on organizations overall desired impacts 
  • Work with program management team to execute on survey data collection at schools and programs around New York City 
  • Execute data collection utilizing Google Sheets, Excel, Hello Insight or other data analysis software 
  • Aid in data analysis and distribution to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Contribute to adaptations of Kids in the Game materials, activities, and curriculum to meet the needs to survey results

  • Is willing to travel periodically throughout NYC
  • Can handle influxes in workload and executes tasks on time with a high level of attention to detail
  • Works very well with other people and is an effective communicator.

  • Open to feedback to continuously improve and grow
