
Front Desk Associate (PT)
The Upper Montclair Country Club, a Member of the Distinguished Golf Clubs of the World, and an established golf and country club since 1901 is searching for a Front Desk Associate to join their team.
Job Summary:
- This part time position provides one of the first points of Member and Guest service in person, on the phone, or via internet.
- The major responsibility is to greet and support the Membership and guests in professional and accurate manner.
- Projecting the “club culture” and conveying hospitality, friendliness and goodwill among all Members and guests is paramount.
- Evenings, Weekends and Holidays Required.
- Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal.
Job Duties:
- Using proper telephone etiquette, answers calls and caller questions, transferring to proper extensions when necessary.
- Takes Member dining and event reservations.
- Manages Front Desk email while on duty, responding to any Member requests, or forwarding to the appropriate staff.
- Greets all Members and guests entering the Club.
- Formats daily specials menu according to Club standards, and prints and posts online.
- Types up event menus and buffet cards as needed, using existing templates.
- Manages distribution of mail and package deliveries.
- Reports presence of unauthorized visitors in or around club facility.
- Informs manager on duty of any dress code violations.
- May perform other duties within the scope of this job description as needed for the efficient operation of the club.
Requirements:
- Must be available to work evenings 4-8 pm, weekends, and holidays. (Approximately 12 hours a week).
- Must be able to effectively communicate with Members, guests, and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
- Must be able to multi task and efficiently work on multiple projects in a timely manner.
- Proficient with computer programs, such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint, and able to navigate across programs and screens.
- Multi phone line and/or reception experience preferred.
- Business Professional Attire Required.
