The Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights advocates for the best interests of unaccompanied immigrant children in accord with state and federal law and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The Young Center serves as guardian ad litem (Child Advocate) for individual unaccompanied children. The Young Center also does policy advocacy at the national and local level to make the case for a change in the law to require that decision makers consider best interests in all cases involving immigrant children.
